VII Security Setup
1. SIM and Phone Lock
Some access passwords are used for the mobile phone and SIM
Card. These passwords can help prevent the mobile phone from
being misused.
1.1 Phone Lock
The mobile phone password can be used to prevent the mobile
phone from being misused. After choosing the password function
on the mobile phone, the mobile phone will be locked at every
start automatically; a password has to be used to unlock the
mobile phone.
Mobile phone password is 0000 by factory default
Before starting to use the mobile phone, you should change
your mobile phone password.
Please take care of your new password, and store it in a safe
place. It is best to store it outside the mobile phone.
1.2 PIN Code
The PIN Code (Personal Identification Code) can prevent the
SIM Card from being misused. Generally, the PIN Code will be
provided together with the SIM Card. After choosing to start the
PIN request, the PIN Code has to be entered at every start.
If you fail to enter the PIN Code three consecutive times,
the PUK Code must be entered; then after entering the PIN
Code to confirm, enter the new PIN Code once again and
confirm.
1.3 PIN2 Code
Some SIM Cards can provide a PIN2; some functions, such as the
