a. Select the two beams closest to the ends of the mat system’s lifting cables and still outside the
main body of the mat hoist system. Straps of Matlok must clear all moving parts including
cables during normal operation of the hoisting system.
e. Matlok installed as shown in image below. Beam flange must be between 3 ½” and 8 ¼” in
width, and no more than ½” thick. For any other size beam contact Jaypro directly (Note: an
expansion kit may have been ordered and therefore supplied with the Matloks. If this is the
case, consult installation drawings included with that kit for further instructions).

g. Test operation of mat hoist system fully between upper and lower limits. Watch for any rubbing
of Matlok strap on any part of mat hoist system. If there is any, adjust location of Matlok until
system operates without interference.
