Important Notes

• Follow all warning signs and labels on equipment

• Inspect all equipment before each use.

• Due to the nature of this product the architect or structural engineer must verify structural

adequacy. This product must not be installed until an authorized construction representative
provides final written approval. Jaypro is not responsible for the structure.

• Call Jaypro for pricing and scheduling of a field maintenance visit from one of our highly trained

specialists if you are unwilling or unable to perform the regular maintenance yourself.

• Matloks should be attached to the building structure actually bearing the load of the mat hoist

system, not necessarily the actual beams the mat hoist is attached to.

• Matlok should be oriented so that the red visual safety indicator is facing the center of the room or

in a direction that offers the best chance of being seen. The red safety indicator will be visible only
if the Matlok has been activated, which means some part of the system has suffered damage. Pay
particular attention to which way the unit must face so that if the indicator is activated, it will be
pointing in the direction desired. Don’t operate the mat hoist system until the source of damage has
been determined and repaired. The Matloks will then need to be replaced (see Figure 2).

• Consult all documentation supplied with equipment. Should any information included therein

conflict with information supplied in this document, equipment enclosed documentation shall
supercede.
