TROUBLESHOOTING
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair.
If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service centre.
WARNING
: Under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this
would invalidate the guarantee.
PROBLEM

No sound
- Volume not adjusted
• Adjust the volume
- Headphones are connected
• Disconnect the headphones
No reaction to any operation of the

- Electrostatic discharge
• Disconnect the set from the mains supply
and reconnect the set after 3 seconds
Time incorrect by 1-2 hours____________________
- Time zone setting incorrect
• Press the WEEKEND SLEEPER/ timezone
button and then press TUNING or^w
until the time zone is correct

Signal cannot be received______________________
- Weak radio receiver signal
• Rotate the RADIO CONTROLLED CLOCK
antenna
- RADIO CONTROLLED CLOCK antenna not
horizontally placed
• Position the RADIO CONTROLLED CLOCK
antenna horizontally
- Signal interference/obstruction by steel
reinforcements in building structure,
electrical equipment or nearby metal objects
• Move the set to an interference-free
location
- Distance of set more than 1500 km away
from a radio controlled transmitter
• Only quartz clock time applicable, unless you
use the set in an appropriate area. You will
need to set the clock manually.
Manual DATE/TIME setting interrupted
- Setting is overrided by RADIO CONTROL
CLOCK reception and TUNING/i« or»i
keys changed back to to tuning function
• Do not set TIME/DATE manually if RCC
reception is possible

Sometimes blinks_________________
- It is normal that u may blink after
successful RCC reception. The blinking ^
indicates that the clock is receiving the
latest RCC signal
RADIO
Occasional crackling sound during FM
broadcast_____________________________
- Weak signal
• Extend wire antenna fully
Continuous crackling/hiss disturbance
during AM broadcast___________________
- Electrical interference from TVs, computers,
fluorescent lamps, etc.
• Move set away from other electrical
equipment
ALARM
The alarm does not function
- Alarm time not set
• Set the alarm time
- Alarm mode not selected

- Weekend sleeper selected for Saturday and
Sunday
• Deactivate weekend sleeper
- Volume too low for alarm radio options
• Adjust the volume
