INSTALLATION
STANDARD CONNECTIONS
Depending on the version of CD-i player and availability of
connection on the TV set, choose one of the following
connections (lA, IB or 1C) before connecting the power (2).
Connection lA gives the best picture quality.
I A. CONNECTION TO A TV WITH AN A/V EUROCONNECTOR SOCKET
Connect the corresponding connectors with the A/V Euroconnector
cable.
NOTE
Please refer to the instructions of your TV set for the correct
source selection.
IB. ANTENNA CONNECTIONS
Available on some player versions only.
• Connect the player to the TV antenna input, using the RF
Coaxial cable.
• Your CD-i player sends pictures and sound to your TV on the
channel number indicated on the rear (18). Therefore select
on your TV the same channel.
• You can avoid local interference with other TV stations by tuning
the CD-i channel selector (18) to a different charmel.
In this case adjust your TV to your selected channel.
• When the CD-i player is switched off, the antenna signal (from
an external TV anterma, cable connection or VCR antenna
signal) will not pass to your TV set. If you want to watch TV
when the CD-i is switched off, you have to use an antenna
switchbox. Contact your local supplier for this item.

NOTE
The sound sent through the RF output to your TV'’ set is mono
only.

IC. CONNECTION TO A TV WITH A VIDEO (CVBS) SOCKET
' Just connect the corresponding sockets with an optional video
(CVBS) cable.
’ This cable does not connect the audio, which has to be
connected separately (with the supplied audio cable).

source selection.

2. POWER CONNECTION
• Connect the corresponding connector of the supplied AC
(alternating current) cord to the AC socket (17).
• Insert the other end of the cord into an AC outlet.

POWER SWITCHED ON.
ONLY A QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSON SHOULD REMOVE

THE PLAYER AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS TO THE LOCAL
MAINS VOLTAGE.
WHEN THE PLAYER IS IN THE "OFF" POSITION, IT IS STILL
CONSUMING SOME POWER. IF Y'OU WISH TO DISCONNECT
YOUR PLAYER COMPIETELY FROM THE MAINS, WITHDRAW
THE PLUG FROM THE AC OUTLET.
