1. Learning the Parts of Your New Air pistol
Learning the names of the parts of your new air pistol will help you to understand your owner's manual. Use this
manual to increase your enjoyment of this air pistol.
2. Operating the Safety
A. To Put the Air Pistol "ON SAFE:"
• Locate the safety directly in back of the trigger.
• Push the safety from the left side all the way in (Fig. 2). The safety is not "ON SAFE"
unless it is pushed all the way in and the RED ring around the left side of the safety is
NOT showing.
Like all mechanical devices, an air pistol safety can fail. Even when the safety is "ON SAFE", you should continue to handle the air pistol safely.
NEVER point the air pistol at any person. NEVER point the air pistol at anything you do not intend to shoot
B. To Take the Air Pistol "OFF SAFE":
• Push the safety from the right side all the way in.
• The air pistol is ready to fire when "OFF SAFE". When you can see the RED line on the left side of the safety,
the air pistol is "OFF SAFE" and can be fired.
3. Adjusting the Trigger Over-travel
• To ensure crisp, consistent action of the trigger, a set screw has been incorporated into the trigger guard to allow
each shooter to set the trigger over-travel to their preference. Removing the screw will give the most over travel,
tightening the screw all the way in will stop the trigger. Shooters will find their preference
somewhere in between.
• Make sure the air pistol is unloaded (section 6B), de-gassed (section 5B) and "ON
SAFE" (section 2A).
• Turn the set screw all the way in with a hex wrench (fig. 3).
• Cock the bolt by pushing the bolt handle up and pulling it all the way back until you
hear two clicks. Close the bolt and push the bolt handle down to lock.
• Point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION, take "OFF SAFE" (section 2B) and pull the trigger. If
the pistol does not fire, turn the set screw counterclockwise in ½ turn increments until it fires.
• Turn an additional ½ turn.
• Put the air pistol "ON SAFE".
4. Adjusting the Trigger Pull
Your air pistol is designed with an adjustment to change the trigger pull from 1 to 4 lbs.
CAUTION: The adjustable
trigger can be adjusted below 3 lbs, and when it is adjusted below 3 lbs, the air pistol could fire when dropped.
• To test the trigger pull, make sure the air pistol is unloaded (section 6B) and de-gassed (section 5B).
• Cock the bolt by pushing the bolt handle up and pulling it all the way back until you hear two clicks. Close the
bolt and push the bolt handle down to lock.
• Pull the trigger.
• If the trigger pull is not at desired weight, remove one of the grips - left handed shooters
remove the right grip, right handed shooters remove the left grip.
• Turn the dial (fig. 4) moving it up or down depending on the results wanted. To increase the
trigger pull turn the dial so that it moves up. To decrease the trigger pull turn the dial so that it
moves down.
• Test the pull again and repeat until desired result is found.
• Replace the grip.
5. Installing and Removing CO2 Cartridge
A. Installing a New CO2 Cartridge
• Make sure the air pistol is "ON SAFE" (section 2A)and UNLOADED.
• Slowly turn the filler cap counter-clockwise all the way until you no longer hear the
escape of CO2 gas.
• Pull the filler assembly from the action tube and remove the empty CO2 cartridge by
pointing the muzzle of the air pistol down.
• Insert the new CO2 cartridge into the air pistol with the small neck of the CO2 cartridge into the action tube first (fig. 7).
• Replace the filler cap assembly in the action tube. Screw the filler cap completely into place until finger tight only.
• Cock the bolt by pushing the bolt handle up and pulling it all the way back until you hear two clicks. Close the
bolt and push the bolt handle down to lock.
• Point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION, take "OFF SAFE" (See Section 2B) and pull the trigger.
• Cock the bolt again, point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION, take "OFF SAFE" (See Section 2B) and pull the trigger
• If the air pistol does not make a popping noise after pulling the trigger, the CO2 is not being discharged. In that
event, tighten the filler cap slightly and repeat cocking the bolt and firing the air pistol until there is a popping noise,
which will mean the air pistol is releasing CO2 with each pull of the trigger.
• Return safety to the "ON SAFE" position (See Section 2A).
NOTE: We recommend the use of Crosman® brand Powerlet CO2 cartridges. They are made to fit the Model 2300 air pistol. Other
brands of CO2 cartridges may not fit properly and if you force them into place it may result in injury to you or damage to your air pistol.
Never try to force any CO2 cartridge into or out of place. Do not store your air pistol with a CO2 cartridge in it.

REPAIR SERVICE
If your air pistol needs repair, we recommend you take or send it to your nearest Crosman Authorized Service Station. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE IT! Your air pistol requires special tools and fixtures to repair it. Any disassembly or modification
not performed by an Authorized Service Station will void the warranty.
A SPECIAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Crosman Authorized Service Stations will unjam your air pistol at no cost during the warranty period.
LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
This product is warranted to the retail consumer for one year from date of retail purchase against defects in material and workmanship and
is transferable. To register the serial number of your air pistol, please return the air pistol registration form. The warranty is not conditioned
on the return of the card. You should retain the original sales receipt as record of date of purchase.

Replacement parts and labor. Transportation charges to consumer for repaired product.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Transportation charges to Authorized Service Station for product. Damages caused by abuse, modification or failure to perform normal

EXPENSES INCLUDING DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY PERFORMANCE

stations). The service station will give you details of how to proceed with sending the item in for repair. You must contact the station prior
to shipping your product.

B. Removing the CO2 Cartridge.
• Put the air pistol "ON SAFE" (See Section 2A).
• Slowly turn the filler cap counter-clockwise all the way until you no longer hear the escape of CO2 gas.
• Pull the filler assembly from the action tube and remove the empty CO2 cartridge by pointing the muzzle of the air
pistol down.
6. Loading and Unloading Pellets
A. Loading a Pellet
• Put the air pistol "ON SAFE" (See Section 2A).
• Point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• You should follow the instructions under section 5A- Installing a CO2 cartridge prior to loading
a pellet into your air pistol.
• Open the bolt by pushing the bolt handle up and pulling it all the way back (fig. 6).
• With the bolt in the rearward position, place one pellet, nose first, into the loading port
(breech). This is a single shot pellet air pistol. Load no more than one pellet at a time.
• Lightly push the pellet into the barrel by closing the bolt and pushing the bolt handle down to
lock. DO NOT jam the bolt forward. This will damage your air pistol.
• Be sure the bolt is closed before firing. If it is not closed and fully locked, the pellet may not be discharged.
B. Unloading Pellets By Firing Your Air Pistol
• The most common way to unload a pellet is to fire your air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION following Section 7
on aiming and firing safely.
NOTE: The air pistol must be charged with CO2 to fire but remember, do not store your air pistol with a CO2 cartridge in it (See Section 5B).
C. Unloading Without Firing
• You can unload your air pistol without firing.
• Put the air pistol "ON SAFE" (See Section 2A).
• Remove the CO2 cartridge (See Section 5B).
• Open the bolt (See Section 6A - Fig. 6).
• Insert a ramrod of the proper size into the barrel (start at the muzzle). The
barrel could be damaged if the proper sized cleaning rod is not used.
• Push the pellet into the pellet loading port (forward of the bolt) (Fig. 7).
• Do not reuse that pellet.
7. Aiming and Firing Safely
A. Aiming the Air pistol
• Always point your air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Follow the instructions for installing a CO2 cartridge (Section 5A) and loading pellets (Section 6A).
• You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes.
• Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or
something you had not intended to hit.
• Always choose your target carefully. For example, you may wish to shoot at paper bulls-eye targets that are
attached to a safe backstop such as the Crosman 850 Target Trap. A heavy blanket should be hung behind
the target trap to prevent ricochet should you miss the backstop.
• Your air pistol is designed for target shooting and is suited for both indoor and outdoor use. Always remember to
place your target carefully. THINK about what you will hit if you miss the target.
• When you are sure of your target and backstop, and the area around the target is clear, cock the air pistol, load,
take the airgun "OFF SAFE" (See section 2B) and pull the trigger to fire.
B. Mounting The Sight
To install the sight slide the sight into the groove on the back of the breech with the white dots toward the back of the gun.
Tighten the set screws toward the front of the sight using a 1.5mm hex wrench.
C. Sight Adjustment
The 2300T air pistol comes with a LPA micrometric adjustable notch rear sight. The sight is adjustable for windage
and elevation and has two white dots, which line up with the front sight post to allow for easier alignment.
• Elevation - turning the elevation screw clockwise will move the sight (and point of impact) down. Turning the
elevation adjustment screw counter-clockwise will move the sight (and point of impact) up.
• Windage - the rear sight may also be adjusted to move right or left (windage). Turning
the windage adjustment screw clockwise will move the sight (and point of impact) to the
right. Turning the windage adjustment screw counter-clockwise will move the sight (and
point of impact) to the left.
• The air pistol is correctly aimed when the front post sight is positioned exactly in the center of
the notch of the rear sight. The top of the front sight blade should be even with the two white
dots on -the sides of the rear sight. The bulls-eye should appear to rest on the top of the front
sight (fig. 8)
8. Removing a Jammed Pellet
• Put the air pistol "ON SAFE" (See Section 2A).
• Empty and remove the CO2 cartridge (See Section 5B).
• Open the bolt (See Section 6A - Fig. 6).
• Insert a ramrod of the proper size into the barrel (start at the muzzle). The barrel could be damaged if the
proper sized cleaning rod is not used.
• Push the jammed pellet into the pellet loading port (forward of the bolt) (fig. 7).
• Do not try to reuse that pellet.
• If you are not able to unjam your air pistol by following this procedure, take no further action. An Authorized
Service Station will unjam your air pistol (no cost during the warranty period).
9. Maintaining Your Air pistol
• Before you attempt to oil your air pistol, make sure the air pistol is "ON SAFE", unloaded and the CO2 cylinder has
been removed (See Sections 2A, 6B and 5B ).
• Put 1 drop of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil® on the tip of every CO2 cylinder to help maintain your air pistol. DO NOT
use petroleum distillate based oil or solvent and DO NOT over-oil as this can cause damage to your air pistol.
• Your air pistol will maintain proper function longer if you place one drop of oil on the bolt o-ring every 250 shots.
• DO NOT MODIFY OR ALTER YOUR AIR PISTOL. Attempts to modify the air pistol in any way inconsistent with
this manual may make your air pistol unsafe to use, cause serious injury or death, and will void the warranty.
• If you drop your air pistol, visually check to see that it works properly before you use it again. If anything
seems changed, like a shorter or weaker trigger pull, this may mean worn out or broken parts. Call Crosman
customer service for assistance before using your air pistol again.
10. Reviewing Safety
• Never point the air pistol at any person or at anything you do not intend to shoot.
• Always treat the air pistol as though it is loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm.
• Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION. Always keep the muzzle of the air pistol pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Always keep the air pistol ON SAFE until you are ready to shoot.
• Always check to see if the air pistol is "ON SAFE" and unloaded when getting it from another person or from storage.
• Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
• You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes.
• If your reading or prescription glasses are not safety glasses, make sure you wear shooting glasses over your regular glasses.
• Use .177 caliber (4.5 mm) pellets only. Never reuse ammunition.
• Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something
you had not intended to hit.
• Place the backstop in a location that will be safe should the backstop fail.
• Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use. All backstops are subject to wear and will eventually fail.
Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with your air pistol. Use an Authorized Service Station. Using unauthorized repair
centers or modifying the function of your air pistol in any way may be unsafe and will void your warranty.
• Always keep your CrosBlock trigger block in place when storing this air pistol. Store air pistol in a secure location (See
CrosBlock instructions packaged with this air pistol for assistance.)
• Before you store your air pistol, make sure that it is unloaded, not charged, and that the air pistol is "ON SAFE."
This air pistol has been classified as a match precision air pistol. Because it is considered a special
purpose air pistol, it is exempt from specific types of testing. Specifically this air pistol was NOT
subjected to the trigger pull or drop test requirements.
CAUTION: The adjustable trigger can be adjusted below 3 lbs, and when it is adjusted below 3 lbs, the air
pistol could fire when dropped.

Do not brandish or display this airgun in public - it may confuse people
and may be a crime. Police and others may think it is a firearm. Do not
change the coloration and markings to make it look more like a firearm. That is dangerous

Keep hands away from escaping CO2 gas. It can cause frostbite if
allowed to come in contact with skin. Always make sure the CO2 cartridge
is empty before attempting to remove it from the air pistol by slowly turning the filler cap counter-
clockwise all the way until you no longer hear the escape of CO2 gas.
WARNING:
Use .177 caliber pellets only in your Model 2300T. Never reuse ammunition. Use
of any other ammunition can cause injury to you or damage to the air pistol. WARNING:

CO2 cartridges may explode at temperatures above 120°F. Do not mutilate or
incinerate them. Do not expose them to heat or store CO2 cartridges at
temperatures above 120°F.
