Notes on disposal
The new machine's packaging
! Dispose of packing materials in a respon­
sible manner.
! Keep packing materials out of the reach of
children. Packing materials are not toys.
Reprocessing and re-using materials saves raw
materials and reduces Vifaste.
All packing materials used are environment-
friendly and re-usable.
Cardboard boxes consist of 80% to 100% re­
cycled paper.
Plastic wrappings are made from polythene
(PE), the tapes are made from polypropylene
(PP) and the CFC-free packing is made from
foamed polystyrene (PS). These materials are
pure hydrocarbon compounds and can be re­
cycled.
Your old machine
! Render the machine inoperable when it can
no longer be used. Remove the plug from
the socket and cut off the power cable. Pre­
vent children at play from being locked in
and risking death by suffocation. Destroy
the catch on the porthole door.
The old machine contains valuable materials
which should be recycled.
Please make your contribution to the environ­
ment by assisting with proper disposal or re­
cycling.
Safety precautions and
warnings

This machine complies with all relevant safety
regulations.
Before using for the first time;
! Please read the enclosed documents care­
fully before using the washing machine for
the first time. They contain important infor­
mation on the installation, use and safety of
the machine.
! Please keep all documents in a safe place
for future reference.
! Install the machine in accordance with the
instructions (pages 71 to 73). Remove the
transit bolts and keep them in a safe'place.
! If the washing machine is visibly damaged,
do not connect it up. If you are in any doubt,
contact your customer service representa­
tive or dealer.
When washing:
Operate the machine with cold tap water
only.
! Your washing machine is designed for do­
mestic use only, i.e. for washing machine-
washable textiles in a detergent solution.
! Never let children play with the washing ma­
chine.
! Keep pets away from the washing machine.
! Exercise caution when pumping out hot de­
tergent solution.
When the programme has ended:
! Do not reach into the drum while it is still
turning. ^
! Switch the machine OFF when the pro­
gramme has ended.
Taking care of your machine:
! Do not climb onto the machine.
! Do not lean on the door.
When transporting the machine:
Insert the transit bolts.
Drain any water left in the machine.
Take care when moving the machine.
Do not lift the machine by any of the pro­
truding parts.
