Booting to Single-User Mode

1. Start the server.

2. Bring the system up in the Single-User mode.

3. At the UnixWare Logo, press the space bar.

4. At the prompt, type the following and press Enter.

INITSTATE=1

5. At the prompt, type the following and press Enter.

go

6. At the login prompt, type the following and press Enter.

root

7. Type your password and press Enter.

8. At the root prompt, type the following:

# pkgadd –d diskette1

9. At the prompt, insert one of the Compaq EFS diskettes for UnixWare

into the diskette drive. The order of diskette insertion is not important.

10. Scroll through the list and select PTFCASA to install.

Accessing the Driver Installation Information

To access the driver installation information:

1. Place the diskette labeled Documentation Diskette in the diskette drive

of a server or computer. If you wish to print the information file, the
system must be connected to a printer.

2. Restart the system.

3. Select the file named CASA.TXT to view or print.

Follow the instructions in this file to install the 64-Bit/66-MHz Fibre Channel
Host Adapter driver in an existing UnixWare server.
