ordering Additional Cards For Your System
When you wish to add to an existing set of cards, always order additional cards with the same facility code as your
existing cards, and with sequential (Card ID) numbering starting one number higher than the highest-numbered card
currently in use. It is worth waiting a short time for these cards to be correctly encoded by the factory, as this will
guarantee proper operation and the highest security for your system.
Using SK-net™ Software
SK-NET™ is a powerful Windows® (95/98/NT4.0) compatible software application program designed to monitor and
control a network of up to 200 11-65000 Units per location. SK-NET is the software of choice when communicating or
programming 11-65000 Units either as stand alones or complete systems. If you do not use SK-NET™ software, you may
use a terminal or terminal software to program the individual units (see below, “Using a Terminal Program”). You may
also use a program deck for limited programming functions of the individual units.
If you are already familiar with other access control programs, you will find that SK-NET™ is different than what you
are used to. The user interface follows Microsoft Windows® conventions, rather than a traditional menu structure.
SK-NET™ Explorer works similarly to the Windows® Explorer. As in other Windows® applications, right-click menus are
used extensively.
The basic version of SK-NET™ allows a single reader network connected to the PC; the Multiple Location Dial-up
version (SK-NET™-MLD) allows modem communications and unlimited remote locations. See the SK-NET user manual
for detailed instructions.
