16 Kofax Export Connector for ERP Features Guide
Overview
Kofax Export Connector for ERP (KEC-ERP) is part of a solution for invoice processing and
interacts seamlessly with Kofax Capture. KEC-ERP has an open architecture and can integrate
with other scenarios (for example, order processing). The following graphic shows a simple
Kofax Capture workflow with KEC-ERP.
1 KEC-ERP calls a special function module (Z_DICOM_DOC_URL_CREATE) that returns
a URL to the content server to store the image. The creation of this URL is standard
ArchiveLink functionality.
2 Using this URL, KEC-ERP uses HTTP to send the image directly to the content server.
SAP and the content server do not need to be in the same location, but the content server
must be ArchiveLink 4.5-certified and the connection must be customized correctly in
SAP.
3 KEC-ERP calls the transaction/feature related function module (for example, the
function module that creates a workitem for FB60). KEC-ERP passes metadata and the
document ID created in step 2 to the function module. The function module creates an
SAP object that is linked to the image.
