# 2. Steering Synchronization & Neutral Setting: cont
s. Adjust the Control Pedal Neutral by loosening the bolt securing and aligning the spring for the pedal
RTN. The component is secured through a slotted hole. Loosening the bolt will allow the neutral
spring mechanism to align itself in relation to the linkage neutral position. See Fig. # 11.

Verify that all hardware is tighten properly.

Remove
all three
5/16” alignment pins through the Steering Toggle and the RH & LH Pump Control Arms.
WARNING:
Failure to remove the alignment pin will cause extensive damage to the steering linkage
arms requiring their replacement. Do Not attempt to move the steering wheel with the pins in place.
v.
Reinstall the floor pan and panel covering the front linkage assembly.
w. Test drive to be sure steering performance is within specification.
# 3. Parking Brake Neutral Lockout:
When the parking brake is engaged, the FWD / REV Pedals must be locked in the neutral position.
If FWD or REV begins to engage as the brake is applied. Adjustment is required.
Always check for loose fasteners, as well as worn, bent, or distorted parts.
a. Remove the Floor Pan to access the foot control mechanism.
b. Disengage the Parking Brake.
c.
Loosen the bolt ( snug not totally loose ) securing the lock pin. See Fig. # 12.
d. Engage and lock the Parking Brake.
The lock pin mounting hole is slotted allowing the pin to align itself.
e. Release the Brake and tighten the lock pin mounting bolt.
f.
Re engage the brake and lock into position. If FWD or REV begins to engage when the brake is applied
or the FWD control pedal move when locked. Repeat the adjustment procedure.
