ADJUSTMENT & CALABRATION PROCEDURES: cont.
WARNING:
Before making any adjustments, shut engine off and allow it to cool. When running the engine is not
necessary to perform procedures, remove ignition key, disconnect both spark plug wires and disconnect the
battery.
Refer to the Operators’ Manual for complete Safety Instructions.
# 2. Steering Synchronization & Neutral Setting:
These two adjustments can be made simultaneously.
If a Steering Synchronization or Neutral Setting issue is suspected, first and always check for loose fasteners,
as well as worn, bent, damaged and or distorted parts. Check the hydraulic system oil level and leaks.
a. Park unit on a flat level surface.
b. Position the front wheels straight toward the front of the unit as if driving in a straight line.
c.
Remove the panel covering the front linkage assembly.
d. Remove the floor pan.
e. Tilt the seat assembly forward and secure.
f.
Loosen the bolts securing the Linkage Arms to the Drive Pumps.
This allows the pumps to neutralize themselves. See Fig. # 7.
g. Loosen the bolt securing the Control Link Arms to the Control Link Plates. See Fig. # 8a.
h. Release the Parking Brake and verify that the FWD & REV Pedals move freely.

Check the length of the RH and LH Speed Control Link Rods. See Fig. # 8b.
They must be adjusted to equal lengths.
