How to replace the primary lamp module
• Switch OFF the instrument.
• Lift off the top cover a and put it aside.
• Unplug the mains plug inside the device b!
• Unplug the power cable c of the primary / secondary lamp module.
• Turn the locking lever upwards d to unlock the module.
• Carefully pull out the lamp e.
To install the new lamp module, proceed in reverse order and reset the software hour counter as
described in the following section.
7 .6 .3 Resetting the lamp lifetime counter
To correctly monitor the lamp lifetime the software hour counter has to be reset after each lamp
replacement. At lamp exchange, the secondary lamp module is active.

Proceed as follows to establish the standard working conditions of the NIRMaster:
• Open the Operator software (non-Wizard user interface), press F4
• Switch from “secondary lamp” a to “primary lamp”
• Resetting the hour b counter will bring up a prompt for confirmation
• Confirm the message c to finally set the lamp lifetime counter to zero
➡ After this procedure, restart the NIRMaster.
