6 Operation
This section describes how to start a measurement and how to prepare a reference measurement
and gives recommendations on possible applications of the instrument. Additional information can be
found in the NIRWare online help.

6 .1 Initializing the system
Before starting the NIRMaster, switch ON the monitor a. To start the NIRMaster press the green
power button on the left side of the instrument for 1 – 3 seconds b. The indicator light at the housing
front will light up yellow, to indicate the bootup process. After approximately 60 seconds the indicator
light will change from yellow to green c and the instrument is ready to use (respectively to log in).
