Using On-Screen Menu Icons
On-Screen Menu Icons
On-Screen Menu Icons are long thin menus that contain information
about the disc or unit. These menus allow you to perform operations
by changing this information.

The screens depend on the disc contents.

Common procedures

Press [DISPLAY] during play or in the
stop mode.
Each time you press the button, the TV monitor changes as
follows;
■ On-Screen Menu Icons for disc information

•Some functions cannot be accessed from the stop mode.
Press the cursor buttons [◄, ►] to
select the item.
The item is highlighted in yellow.
Press the cursor buttons [▲, ▼] to se
lect the setting.
• For some functions, the setting will be registered immediate
ly: for others, [ENTER] or [► PLAY] must be pressed.
•When numbers are displayed (e.g. title No.), both the nume
ric buttons and the cursor buttons [A, T] are also effective
for setting. When numbers are entered with numeric buttons,
press [ENTER] to register the setting.
To clear the On-Screen Menu Icons
Press [RETURN] or [CANCEL],
For your reference
•The On-Screen Menu Icons may not be displayed when playing
some kinds of DVD software, or if the television's automatic picture
zoom function is on. Change the position of the On-Screen Menu
Icons in “4 On-Screen Messages" if this occurs (^ page 30).
•The color (blue, violet or green) of the On-Screen Menu Icons can
be changed (•• page 30).
•“A, V” around the icon means that the item can be changed using
the cursor buttons [A, ▼].
