Section 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water, lifting the upper and
lower lids at periodic intervals to insure that the water contacts all accessible tissue of the
eyes and lids. Get medical attention, preferably an eye specialist, as soon as possible.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothes. Promptly wash the contaminated skin using
mild detergent and water, especially around the nails. If irritation persists after washing, get
medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove exposed person promptly to fresh air. Get medical attention as soon
as possible.

Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Drink large quantities of water followed by milk of
magnesia. Get medical attention immediately.

NOTE TO PHYSICIANS

Exposed person should be observed for 48 – 72 hours for the delayed onset of pulmonary
edema.

Small Spill: Absorb spill with an inert material (e.g., dry sand or earth), then place in a
proper waste disposal container.

Large Spill: Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible.
Absorb remaining liquid with an inert material (e.g., dry sand or earth) and place in a proper
waste disposal container.

Section 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling: Use with adequate ventilation.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
