8.1.11. Tare Setup
Depending on the application, as well as the function in use, the need to tare before weighing may not be
required. By default tare is enabled and most functions require that a tare is performed. If the application
does not require a tare before weighing, taring may be turned OFF or set to AUTO. To perform tare set-up
follow the steps below.
1. Use the navigation keys to select “Tare Setup” in “Mode Setup” and press ENTER. The status of tare
will be displayed.
2. To enable, disable, or set tare to auto, select “Tare Mode” and press the ENTER key.
3. Use the navigation keys to make the desired selection and press the ENTER key to accept.
Tare Setup Operating Modes
On:
When turned on most weighing function require that a tare is performed
Auto:
When set to Automatic most function prompt to perform a tare although the tare is
performed automatically as soon as the weight of the container stabilizes.
Off:
When set to Off the function never prompts to perform a tare although a tare maybe
performed by pressing the “T” Key.
