Opening/closing in an emergency
Power tilt/sliding sunroof
You can open or close the tilt/sliding sun-
roof manually should an electrical malfunc-
tion occur.
The drive mechanism is behind the left sun
visor.
1 Cover
̈ Remove cover 1.
2 Crank
̈ Take crank 2 from the Operator’s
Manual pouch.
̈ Switch on the ignition ( ୴ page 336).
̈ Insert crank 2 through the hole.
̈ Turn crank 2 clockwise to:
ț slide roof panel closed
ț raise roof panel at the rear
̈ Turn crank 2 counterclockwise to:
ț slide roof panel open
ț lower roof panel at the rear

Turn crank 2 slowly and smoothly.
The tilt/sliding sunroof ( ୴ page 468) must be
synchronized after being operated manually.
