• Some parts of the appliance (including the coffee pot, coffee filter, filter holder, steam pipe and water tank lid)
will become hot when the appliance is being used. Please avoid touching them until they are completely cool.
Always use the heat-insulated handles when handling the coffee pot and filter holder.
• Only use the coffee pot to fill the water tank and pay close attention to the amount of water used. Never fill
the water tank directly from a tap.
• The coffee maker must not be moved when in use. Please switch off the power (or wait until it automatically
switches off), unplug the mains cable and allow the appliance to cool before moving it or putting it away.
Please respect the environment when the appliance reaches the end of its life. Electrical products
must not be disposed of with other residential waste because they can damage the natural world and
may be hazardous to human health. You should dispose of the appliance at an appropriate recycling
site or by using a collection service that specialises in electrical appliances.
You may wish to contact the retailer or the manufacturer if you are unable to find convenient local recycling
facilities as they have some legal responsibilities for recycling electrical products.
Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else, you must give them
this instruction manual, too!

POWER SUPPLY
The appliance should only be connected to 230V~ 50Hz electrical mains with a protective
earth connection. Always verify that the mains voltage at the place of use is the same as
the voltage indicated in the rating label on the appliance.
USING OF APPLIANCE
Before using your appliance
1. Unpack the coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
2. Carefully check the appliance to ensure it is complete and undamaged. You should only use the coffee maker if
it is complete and has not suffered any damage.
3. Clean the appliance before using it to make coffee for the first time:
a) Use mild, soapy water to wash the glass coffee pot, filter and filter holder. Rinse them and wait until they
are completely dry before putting them back in the appliance.
b) Fill the water tank according to the instructions but do not put any coffee in the filter. Let the appliance
heat the water, which will clean all the internal parts.
c) After using the appliance with just water, switch it off. Pour the water from the coffee pot, then wash the
pot, filter and filter holder again. Repeat the process at least once more. The coffee maker is now ready for
regular use.
Always use the appropriate amount of water for making coffee.
Important! Espresso coffee must only be made with a maximum 240ml of water. Never exceed this
amount. To measure 240ml, add water to the coffee pot until it reaches the bottom of the metal ring
attached to the handle.
Note:
Always use the glass coffee pot (part no. 10) for measuring the amount of water you need. The symbols on the
side of the pot provide a useful indication. Please measure the water precisely because almost the entire volume
of water in the tank is passed through the appliance.
Making espresso coffee
1. Turn the lid of the water tank (part no. 1) anticlockwise and remove it from the appliance.
2. Fill the water tank with the appropriate amount of cold water. Always follow the water level markings on the
side of the coffee pot:
• water up to number ‘2’ on the coffee pot (2 small cups of water) is enough for 2 cups of espresso coffee,
