TROUBLE SHOOTING
TROUBLE CAUSE CORRECTION
Difficult starting
Defective spark plug
Water or dirt in fuel system

Use carburetor bowl drain to
flush and refill with fresh fuel

Blocked fuel line or low on fuel Clean fuel line; check fuel sup­

Unit running on CHOKE Move choke lever to OFF position

Excessive
vibration
Loose parts; damaged impeller Stop engine immediately and
disconnect spark plug wire.
Tighten all bolts and make all
necessary repairs. If vibration
continues, have the unit ser­
viced by a Craftsman service

propel itself Drive belt loose or damaged
Incorrect adjustment of auger con­

Worn or damaged friction wheel
Replace drive belt
Adjust traction drive cable

object from auger.

by lifting up on upper handle until
bracket bolts snap into place in
upper slots of weight transfer
pedal.
