Lights up when the source signal is a digital signal
being input through the OPT terminal.

Lights up when the source signal is a digital signal
being input through the COAX terminal.

DIGITAL
This indicator lights when a sound field other than
2 CHANNEL is selected and the unit is decoding
signals recorded in the Dolby Digital (AC-3) format.

] Playback channel indicators
The letters light to indicate the channels being played
back.
L; Front Left
R: Front Right
C: Center (monaural)
LS: Left Surround
RS; Right Surround
S: Surround (monaural or the rear components
obtained by Pro Logic processing)
The boxes around the letters light to indicate the
speakers used to playback the channels.

] L.F.E
The letters "L.F.E" light up when the disc being played
contains the LFE (Low Frequency Effect) channel.
When the sound of the LFE channel signal is actually
being reproduced, the bars underneath the letters
lights up to indicate the level. Since the LFE signal is
not recorded in all parts of the input signal the bar
indication will fluctuate (and may turn off) during
playback.
E S.WOOFER
Lights when sub woofer selection is set to "YES" ai
this unit detects that the disc being played does nol
contain the LFE channel signal. While this indicatoi
lit, this unit creates a sub woofer signal based on th
low frequency components of the front channels.

These indicators light when using the receiver to tu
in radio stations, etc. See pages 43-46 for tuner
operations.

Lights when dynamic range compression is active.!
