Receiving calls

Additional tasks
When you hear the phone ring;
• Press
(TALK)
(or
any dialing
key).
• Pick up the handset from the
base phone when the handset is
placed on the base phone.
The TALK/BATT LOW lamp on
the handset and the LINE lamp on
the base phone light up.
When you are done talking, press
(OFF
) or replace the handset on
the
base phone.
The TALK/BATT LOW lamp on
the handset and the LINE lamp on
the base phone go off.
To
Do this
Put a call on hold
Press
(HOLD).
The TALK/BATT LOW
lamp
flashes slowly.
Press
(TALK)
to resume the conversation.
Switch to another call
("call waiting" service*)
Press
(FLASH).
Press (
FLASH) again to return to the first caller.
Turn on/off the ringer
of the handset
Press (
SPEED DtAL/PGM) and
CD
to turn the
ringer on, or
(D
to turn it off.
Then press (
SPEED DIAUPGM).
Adjust the ringer volume of
the base phone
Set the RINGER switch to H (high), L (low) or OFF.

Receiving calls through the speakerphone
When you hear the phone ring, press
(SPEAKERPHONE)
on the base phone.
The LINE lamp lights up.
To adjust the speaker volume, slide the
SPEAKER VOLUME control.
When you're done talking, press
(SPEAKERPHONE)
again.
