Normal Operation
Error Condition

Green indicates that a 10-Mbps network connection exists.
Orange indicates that a 100-Mbps network connection exists.
Yellow indicates that a 1-Gbps (or 1000 Mbps) network connection
exists.
Off indicates that the NIC is not detecting a physical connection to the
network.
Activity
Flashing or steady yellow indicates that the NIC is transmitting or
receiving network data.
When off at the same time that the link indicator is off, the NIC is not
connected to the network.
NOTE:
If the NIC is disabled in System Setup, both the link and activity indicators will be "off" regardless of whether an active network connection is present.
