• If you have a problem reading a bar code, try changing the angle of the label or
Pocket PC Terminal, or the distance between them.
• The laser scanner can read bar codes from a distance of 60 to 420 mm under the
conditions described below.
Required Reading Conditions:
Ambient Illumination: 500 to 900 lux (fluorescent lighting)
PCS: 0.45 to 0.9
Narrowest Bar Thickness: 0.127 to 1.0mm
Warning Label
• This is a warning label for a Class 2 laser device that conforms to IEC60825-1.
• Though there is no danger due to momentary exposure to a Class 2 laser beam, you
should never stare into to the laser for long periods.
• When using the laser scanner, always make sure you carefully follow the procedures
and observe the precautions outlined in this manual. Failure to do so is dangerous.
• The maximum output of the laser beam is less than 1mW. The wavelength is 650mm.
