Assemble Auger
Three support arms connect the auger to the left side of
the cart. The center swing arm is in two pieces that need
to be assembled. The front and rear arms are bolted to
the cart.
Refer to Figure 5
23. Connect the inner section of the swing arm
to the
outer section
.
A. Check that the upper and lower joint bushings
are in place.
B. Install the spacer
between the joint bushings.
C. Slide the outer arm into the inner-arm joint until
bolt holes are aligned.
D. Install the

× 6 inch bolt , lock washer
and
nut
. Tighten so the spacer is held firmly.
Electrocution Hazard:
Keep clear of overhead power lines when positioning auger.
Crushing/Falling Hazard:
Auger weighs about 300 pounds and may cause injury if it
falls. Secure an adequate lifting device on auger while
installing.
24. Install auger.
A. Put two washers
on top of swing-arm bushing.
B. Lower the auger swivel
into the bushing.
C. Place a washer
on the bottom of the installed
swivel. Secure with the

× 2 inch roll pin

25. Bolt the front support arm
to the cart as shown
using four

inch bolts
, lock washers
and nuts
. Rest the spout end of the auger in the
front support arm.
