Re-Mount Swing Arm
20. Select one each saved:
FERT COULTER SWING ARM
SWING ARM BUSHING
NUT HEX FLANGE LOCK 3/4-10 PLT
NUT HEX JAM 3/4-10 PLT
PIN COTTER 1/4 X 2 PLT
WASHER FLAT 1 1/4 SAE PLT
21. Insert the swing arm
into the new casting
22. Secure the pivot with the washer
and cotter pin
.
23. Insert the swing arm bushing
into the arm
.
Secure the spring rod
to the swing arm
with
the flange nut
and jam nut
.
Install New Spring Guide
24. Select one new:
805-331C COULTER SPRING GUIDE TUBE
one each saved:
COULTER SPRING WASHER
SPRING 2.25 O.D. X .5 COIL
and two saved:
NUT HEX JAM 3/4-10 PLT
25. Place the new guide
over the spring rod
and
make sure it is fully seated in the new casting
26. Place the saved spring
over the spring rod
,
followed by the saved washer
.
27. Thread on one of the jam nuts
. Tighten it until
the spring length is 9

in to 10in.
28. Thread on the second jam nut
, and tighten
(without allowing the first to make additional turns).
