LaMotte FORMALDEHYDE KIT OCTA-SLIDE 2, 0-10 ppm - Manual (Page 2)

PROCEDURE
1. Fill the vial (1163) to the 12.5 mL line with *Formaldehyde Reagent #1 (6697).
Use 0.05g spoon (0696) to add one level measure of *Formaldehyde Reagent #2
(6698) and mix to dissolve the powder. This mixed reagent is stable for one day
only.
2. Fill a clean test tube (0844) to the 10 mL line with sample water.
3. Use the 1 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL of reagent from Step 1 to the test tube.
Cap and mix.
4. Use a second 1 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL of *Formaldehyde Reagent #3
(6699). Cap and mix. Wait 20 minutes for full color development.
5. Insert Formaldehyde in Water Octa-Slide 2 Bar (6702-01) into the Octa-Slide 2
Viewer (1101).
6. Insert test tube into Octa-Slide Viewer.
7. Match sample color to a color standard. Record as ppm Formaldehyde.
