Watts QF - Manual

Replaceable Seat Type Trap
1. Remove existing trap cover. (Figure1)
2. Remove existing element and seat
3. Clean all threads and seating sur-
faces of trap body to prevent wire
drawing.
4. Place adapter in trap body and tighten
with a socket wrench taking care not
to overtighten or nick seating surface.

5. Align hole on bottom of capsule with
hub of adapter and snap on using
minimal downward force. (Figure 3)
6. Clean cover threads and replace.
(Figure 4)
7. The Quik-Fix TM capsule can be
removed by placing a screw driver in
either slot on top of capsule then pry-
ing it off adapter.
Integral Seat Type Trap
1. Follow Steps 1 - 3 above.
2. Place adapter into seat and drive it into
hole using hammer and PVC tubing
(See Figure 5). If adapter bottoms on
hexagon and still turns, trap is not
repairable. If secure, proceed.
3. Follow Steps 5 - 7 above.
