2. Getting Started
The PRO FC comes pre-assembled and almost ready for use, just install the
Disk Modules, attach the Fibre Channel to the computer or the switch, and install
the JAVA RAID Manager. If you are using a Mac, you are good to go, by default
the unit is pre-formatted for Mac OS X operation. For Windows, a small format
procedure is needed.
2.1. Packaging
Please do not discard the boxes and packing materials in case you
might need to reuse them later. Always ship the product in its original
packaging. Improperly packaged products will be subjected to shipping
damage, for which you will be liable for the repair.
2.2. Check List

• 3u 19” rackmount 16 disk bay system enclosure.
• 16 Disk Modules.
• One Ethernet Cable.
• One 3-meter LC to LC optical Fibre Channel cable.

3. Overview
The PRO FC consists of one RAID controller, the controller manages all 16
drives.
3.1. The Bezel
The front bezel can be easily removed to access the Disk Modules. The bezel is
held on by four snap pins located at each of the four corners.
Use both hands, push from behind the left and right side of the bezel. Access
through the rack mount handles.
