Call timer
Your handset automatically times
the duration of every external call.
The time is shown during the call
and for a few seconds after the call
has ended.
Auto-answer
If you would rather press Talk to
receive a call when the the handset
is on the base, you need to switch
Auto-answer off, see page 29.
Dialling numbers quickly
Numbers can also be dialled direct
from the phonebook (page 20), the
calls list (page 24), or the redial list
(page 17).
Switch handset on/off
1. Press and hold
to switch off. Press and release
again to switch on.
Make an external call
1. Press
, listen for the dial tone then dial the number.
Preparatory dialling
1. Enter the number first. If you make a mistake press
to delete. Press
to dial.
End a call
1. Press
or place the handset back on the base.
Receiving calls
When the phone rings, the display shows
External Call
and the EXT symbol flashes.
If you have subscribed to your network’s Caller Display
service, the caller’s number (and name if stored in the
phonebook) is displayed. See page 23 for more information.

to answer the call or, if the handset is on the
base, simply lift it and speak.
