ASSEMBLY
1) Open the shipping container and remove all devices for restraining or protecting the vacuum
lifter. Save the container and devices for use whenever the lifter is transported.
2) Position the lift spool to optimize the
lifter's hang angle for the intended
use. When a different spool position
is desired, remove and loosen the
bolts as needed to move the lift spool
(see figure A1). Then reinstall all
hardware, and tighten bolts securely.
3) Suspend the lifter from a crane as follows: Select hoisting equipment (crane and hoist, when
applicable) rated to carry the maximum load weight plus the lifter weight (see
SPECIFICATIONS: Maximum Load Capacity and Lifter Weight).
Note: Any application of the lifter must conform to all statutory or regulatory standards that
relate to the hoisting equipment when used in its geographical location.
Disengage the tilt latch and raise the lift bar to a vertical orientation (see figure A2).
