5- Stop and record the serial number. On cassette transmissions, it is located on the bottom of the trap door as shown in Picture 8. The serial
number on complete transmissions is found on the top of the case between the trap door and top cover as shown in Picture 9.
Note: Serial number information is required to complete the return authorization. A credit will be issued to your account once the parts are
sent back to S&S®.

6- Now you can remove the following components from the mainshaft:
a- Spacer/thrust washer, .250” thick
b- Mainshaft fourth gear and split bearing
c- Thrust washer, .075” thick
d- 3-4 shift collar
7- Remove the following components from the countershaft in this order:
a- Retaining ring (use snap-ring pliers), See Picture 10.
b- 3rd and 4th combination gear, See Picture 11.
