Introduction
Series 653 High-Temperature Furnace Construction
The furnace uses a center-split design which provides easy specimen and fixture
access. Ports allow thermocouples and an extensometer to extend into the hot
zone.
Heating elements
The silicon carbide heating elements provide rapid heating, low heat loss, and
long life.
Insulation
The insulation material is made of polycrystalline alumina fiber and is capable of
long-term operation at the maximum operating range of the furnace.
