Note:

If you do not switch on the device
within a period of 72 hours, the de-
vice will turn off the TIM function
automatically.
Switching on TIM
If you want to switch TIM on again,

whilst you are in radio mode, press
and hold down the TUNER button

for longer than two seconds.
The TIMPLAY menu is displayed.

Press the NEXT button

The TIMSET menu is displayed.

Repeatedly press the softkey

assigned to the “TIM ON” display
item until “TIM RECORD ON” ap-
pears in the display.

The settings are saved.
Note:

After you switch off the device via
the vehicle ignition or using button

, the display will briefly show the
current setting (“TIM ON” or “TIM
OFF”).
Listening to stored traffic
messages
To listen to the stored traffic messages,
➮
whilst you are in radio mode, press
and hold down the TUNER button

for longer than two seconds.
The TIMPLAY menu is displayed.
The last message is played if traffic in-
formation messages have been record-
ed. The most recent message is num-
bered “TIM1”. The top line of the dis-
play shows the station name/frequen-
cy and below it the time of the record-
ing.
After the first message, all the other
messages are played in ascending or-
der.
“NO TIM AVAILABLE” appears briefly
in the display if no messages have been
recorded. After the last message is
played, the device returns to its previ-
ous mode of operation.
If you want to return to radio mode with-
out first listening to all the messages,

press the TUNER button

Selecting TIM messages
“TIM” and the message number are dis-
played on both sides of the display
alongside the top two softkeys.
If you want to listen to one of the dis-
played messages without listening to
the other messages:

Press the softkey

assigned to
the corresponding display item:
“TIM1”, “TIM2”, “TIM3” or “TIM4”.
Recording traffic information
messages
Whilst the device is switched on it auto-
matically records traffic information if it
is receiving a traffic information station
and priority for traffic information mes-
sages is activated.
If you are listening to a station that does
not broadcast traffic information and you
switch the device off whilst the TIM func-
