Instructions for Use
3.1 Preparing the Mini-Vertical Unit for Electrophoresis
1. Power leads are shipped separately and must be attached before using your Mini-
Vertical. Thread the power lead ends into the lid receptacles and rotate in clockwise
direction to hand tighten.
2. Place Mini-Vertical unit on a level work surface in an authorized work area. If setting
up a Dual Mini-Vertical unit and want to use the internal cooling option, attach tubing
to the inlet (top port) and outlet coolant ports (lower port) and to your pump. Verify
that the comb, spacer set and Gel Wrap™ gasket are the same thickness.
3.2 Preparation/Cleaning of Glass Plates
1. Hand wash both plates with a high quality lab detergent followed by a complete rins-
ing with dH2O. Air-dry or use a lint-free tissue. Spray/wipe the chosen inner surfaces
of the plate set with 95% ethanol and dry with lint-free tissue.
3.3 Gel Casting Using Multi-Caster Method
1. Refer to instructions provided with Multi-Casters GCX-204(K) or GCC-204(K).
