ASSEMBLY

If any bolts or nuts are dropped in the machine, be

sure to remove them before starting the machine.

WARNING

2.3 ATTACH TRAILER WHEELS

2.5 HITCH ASSEMBLY

Where applicable.
1. Remove the chipper from its shipping crate. Place the

unit on a level surface before attempting to assemble

it. See the torque chart in the back of the manual for

tightening torque of bolts and screws.

2. Raise the trailer several inches from the ground with a

hoist or jack. Support the chipper securely.

3. Lift one wheel to a hub and align the wheel lug holes

with the hub lug bolts. Thread the lug nuts (found in

the parts kit) onto lug bolts and tighten the lug nuts to

75 ft. lbs. Follow a star pattern when tightening the lug

nuts. Repeat this step for the remaining wheel.

NON CE COMPLIANT (FIGURE 2.4)

1. Place hitch pole assembly (8) into the frame, align

mounting holes to desired length and secure using

two 1/2” x 4-1/2” bolts, washers and nuts (hardware

not shown in Figure 2.5). Torque to 75 ft-lbs.

2. Attach coupler mount(7) to hitch pole using two 5/8”

x 4-1/2” bolts (1), washers(2) and centerlock nuts (5).

Torque to 150 ft-lbs.

3. Attach 2" coupler (6) to coupler mount using two 1/2

2.4 INSTALL REAR STABILZER

The rear stabilizer is installed by sliding the stabilizer into

the trailer support guide on the rear of the chipper frame.

The stabilizer is secured and adjusted with the provided

snap pin.

CE COMPLIANT (FIGURE 2.5 - 2.8)

1. First, be sure that the hitch pole (1) is properly

orientated before mounting. The end of the hitch

pole in which the holes are closest together will be

orientated toward the axle.

2. Place the spacer (2), drawbar mount (3) and drawbar

clamp (4) into position on the hitch pole as shown in

Figure 2.6.

3. Use two M12 x 40mm bolts (5), washers and nylock

nuts to hold the spacer and drawbar pieces in place.

DO NOT tighten securely at this point.

4. Slide hitch pole back until reaching the attachment on

the axle. Use two M12 x 120mm bolts (6), washers,

nuts and torque to 95 N•m.

5. Now go back and torque the drawbar assembly

hardware from step 3 to 95 N•m.

6. Attach coupler assembly (7) to hitch pole with two

M12 x 100mm bolts (8), washers, nuts and torque to

140 N•m.

7. Locate the brake control rod (9) and thread one M10

nut (10) about 4 cm on to the end of brake control

rod with the least amount of threading. Then thread

rod in to the brake clevis (11) located underneath the

coupler. (Do not tighten the M10 nut against the clevis

until final adjustments are made in later steps.)
