Using ropes, chains or slings shorter than 3 m could cause permanent damages to parts of
the structure of the machine.
It is absolutely forbidden not to fasten to all four the points, the machine could result unba‑
lanced. Furthermore it is compulsory to use four different ropes, chains or slings; in this way
a breaking or a wrong anchorage of one of the connection devices would not imply dange‑
rous movements of the load.
8.3.3 WHAT TO USE TO ATTACH THE PLATFORM
The lifting devices must be in good working order and used according to the specifications
supplied by the manufacturer. As the weight of the platform is not distributed equally over
the four stabilisers, the minimum required capacity for the four ropes, chains or slings used
must not be less than 2000 kg and they must be minimum 3 m long and all identical.
The slings cannot be more than 60 mm wide, the chains not more than 25 mm, and the rope
diameter cannot exceed 25 mm.
The use of ropes, chains or slings less than 3 m long may cause permanent damage to the
machine stabilisers.
