11 Troubleshooting
11.1 General errors
Technical faults may be triggered by faults such as a power failure or power fluctuations. In most cases it is
therefore sufficient simply to switch the device off and back on again after about 10 seconds. If the fault
occurs again, please note the fault code (e.g. 0x0B04) and inform Eppendorf Service.
11.2 Error messages

The software versions of the control
panel and the cycler are not compatible.  A software synchronization is needed.
0x0140 Incompatible or defective mouse  Check the plug connection of the
mouse or replace the mouse.

0x070B Damaged file found during software
update.  Download the software update packet
(ZIP archive) again from the
Eppendorf homepage and unpack it
on an empty MMC.
 Replace the MMC.

0x0D1E
0x2600
to 0x260F
Incompatible or defective printer,
incorrect printer settings, loose cable
connection.  Check the cable connection between
the cycler and the printer.
 Replace the printer cable.
 Check the printer status (e.g. paper
blockage, offline).

Communication problem with the
temperature validation system.  Check cables between the cycler and
the temperature validation system,
using the temperature validation
system documentation as a reference.
0x0DA1
0x0DA2 Incorrect lid status.  Make sure that the lid is fully in the
front position at the program start and
is not wedged.
 Insert the sample tubes into the block
before the program start.
If further error messages appear:
1. Switch off the Mastercycler pro.
2. Check all cable connections.
If the fault occurs again after switching on the device, please note the fault code and contact
Eppendorf Service.
