4. With both Frame Mounting Brackets temporarily in place, hold the plastic lower splash guard up in
position and mark the areas on the splash guard that must be removed to clear the (2) Frame Mounting
Brackets, (Figure 3). For a proper fit and to maintain strength, make several small cuts and only
remove enough material to clear the Brackets. Once the splash guard has been modified and the fit
checked for clearance with the Brackets, (Figure 4), remove the (2) Brackets and reinstall the splash
guard. NOTE: Do not install the two rear fasteners pictured in Figure 3.
5. Slide the Driver Side Mounting Bracket through the slot cut in the middle of the splash guard and
position the Bracket up to the front mounting location. Bolt the Bracket in position as described in Step
3. Repeat this step for passenger side Mounting Bracket installation. Snug but do not tighten hardware
at this time.
6. Select the driver side Top Bracket and slide it through the opening in the factory grille, (Figure 5).
7. Bolt the Top Bracket to the existing hole on the top radiator support with the included (1) 8mm x 25mm
Hex Bolt, (2) 8mm Flat Washers and (1) 8mm Nylon Lock Nut, (Figure 5). Do not tighten hardware at
this time. Repeat this step for driver side Top Bracket installation.
8. With assistance, position the Grille Guard up to the inside of the Mounting Brackets. Attach the Grille
Guard to the Mounting Brackets with the included (4) 12mm x 30mm Hex Bolts, (8) 12mm Flat Washers
and (4) 12mm Nylon Lock Nuts, (Figure 6). Do not tighten hardware at this time.
9. Align hole in the passenger side Top Bracket with hole in the Grille Guard plate. Attach the Top Bracket
to the Grille Guard with the included (1) 10mm x 25mm Button Head Allen Bolt, (2) 10mm Flat Washers
and (1) 10mm Nylon Lock Nut, (Figure 7). Repeat this step for driver side Top Bracket installation. Do
not tighten hardware at this time.
10. Level and adjust the Grille Guard and tighten all hardware.
11. Carefully place the plastic top radiator cover in position and mark the areas that will need to be cut from
the plastic cover to clear the (2) Top Brackets. Once properly trimmed, reinstall the plastic cover using
the original hardware.
12. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a
protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could
damage the finish.
For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild
soap may be used also to clean the Grille Guard.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Grille Guard.

Do not attempt to install the bolt if it is longer than 40mm (1-
9/16”), doing so will cause damage to the
radiator. Use Large Flat Washers if necessary to prevent the Hex Bolt from coming in contact with radiator
