Installing Final Cut Express
When you install Final Cut Express and LiveType, the applications are placed in the
Applications folder on your startup disk. You can choose whether the LiveType media
(such as templates) is placed in the default location or in a custom location.
Note: Before you can install the software, you need to log in to your computer with
an administrator account, using the administrator password. See Mac Help for
more information.
To enter the serial number and install Final Cut Express:
1 Insert the Final Cut Express installation disc into your computer’s DVD drive.
2 Double-click the Install Final Cut Express icon.
3 Read the Welcome information, then click Continue.
4 Read the Software License Agreement, click Continue, then (if you agree) click Agree.
Note: If your system falls far below the minimum system requirements for the
Final Cut Express and LiveType applications (for example, if your computer has a
500 MHz processor and only 512 MB of RAM), a message appears saying that the
software cannot be installed. Refer to the Before You Install Final Cut Express document
on the Final Cut Express installation disc for a list of minimum system requirements.
5 Select the startup disk, then click Continue.
Your startup disk must have the latest version of Mac OS X installed.
