Recheck backlash as before, repeating this procedure until
backlash is within the specified amount.
Tighten the bearing cap bolts with a torque wrench to the torque
specified in your vehicle manufacturer’s service manual.
Before reinstalling the adjuster nut locking tabs, one of the tabs will
need to be shortened as shown in9. to avoid contacting the seal
housing.
