Embroidery:
1. Hoop fabric/stabilizer, lining up with the right vertical line (use template
to ensure correct placement). Position so the horizontal line will be the
top of the template.
2. Bring in the design saved at 45 degrees. Use the arrows to position the
design at 0.0 cm width, +4.40 cm length.
3. Bring in the design saved at 135 degrees. Use the arrows to move the
design to 0.0 cm width, -4.40 cm length. These settings will make half a
frame like the one using the ULT border frame kit.
4. Select the Border key and then the Thread Mark icon. Click the four
corners and the left center mark. Stitch the design with green leaves,
lilac and deep rose flowers and metallic gold for centers and thread
marks.
5. Rehoop using the 7 ¾” vertical line
and the top horizontal (use
template to ensure correct
placement). Bring in design rotated
at 315 degrees and position at 0.0
cm width, +4.40 cm length. Bring
in design rotated at 225 degrees
and move to 0.0 cm width, -4.40
cm length. Select the Border key
and then the Thread Mark icon.
Click the four corners and the
right center mark. In SEWING, use
arrows to move the needle to enter
the corner point of the left thread
mark from the previous stitching.
Stitch design as before. See Photo
2 to see how thread marks look on
completed diamond (two
rectangles).
6. Remove the stabilizer. If a washable pen was used to mark the fabric, use
a Q-tip to remove the lines before pressing.
7. Use the template to cut the embroidered front to 7 ¼” square. Press on a
layer of fusible web.
