This is an example of Failover/Failback function. The device will determine ADSL status
and send ping packet to Gateway every 60 seconds. It will determine if the ADSL is Down
or not replying from Gateway. If this happens 5 times continuously, the device will switch to
3G mode and try to establish the internet connection. Device will send a mail to
[email protected] via smtp server xxx.yyy.zzz to tell user([email protected]) this event had
occurred.
After switching to 3G mode, device will still check for the ADSL status and send ping packet
to Gateway every 3 seconds. The device will then go back to ADSL mode after it
determines that the ADSL is now UP. It only does this after it gets reply from Gateway 5
times consecutively. Just like the previous state of change, the device will send email to
notify the user of the event change.
