Internet connections
Your device allows you to access the internet either
through a wireless network (WiMAX and WLAN/Wi-Fi) or a
mobile phone that supports Bluetooth wireless technology.
WiMAX connection
When you access an application that requires an internet
connection, the device uses the wireless network
connections (WiMAX or WLAN/Wi-Fi) you have saved by
default. The device tries a WiMAX connection first and, if
not found, uses a WLAN connection.
If you have not saved any connections, or they are
unavailable, you are asked to select the connection
(internet access point) to use.
To set up a WiMAX connection:
1.
Tap
in the status indicator area, and select
Select
connection...
.
Select connection
opens, and a list of
all available connections is displayed.
2.
Select the desired WiMAX network, and
Connect
.
A web page of the WiMAX service provider opens.
3.
To create and activate your account, follow the
instructions on the page. When you have created and
activated your account, the device starts the
connection, and
is displayed in the status indicator
area.
The WiMAX account creation and activation may vary
depending on your WiMAX service provider. Follow the
instructions given by your service provider.
