4 Enter the message center number obtained from your wireless
provider and press OK.
5 Scroll until Messages sent as appears in the display and press Select.
6 Scroll to E-mail and press OK.
7 Scroll until E-mail gateway number appears in the display and
press Select.
8 Enter the number given by your wireless provider and press Options.
9 Scroll to Accept and press Select.
Next, we recommend you rename your sending profile to “e-mail,”
which will simplify things later when you’re ready to send e-mail.
10 Scroll until Rename sending profile appears in the display and
press Select.
11 Enter a name for the profile (such as “e-mail”) and press OK.
• COMPOSE AND SEND E-MAIL
Note: See “Tips for composing a message” on page 74 for ways to
write messages faster.
1 At the Start screen, press Menu 01-1 (Messages - Write message).
After a brief pause, the message entry screen appears in the display.
2 Compose your message using the keypad and press Options.
Note: Be sure and leave enough space in the total character count
(160) for the e-mail address.
3 Scroll to Sending options and press Select.
4 Scroll to Sending profile and press Select.
5 Scroll to the profile for sending e-mail, and press Select.
6 The gateway, or default recipient number appears in the display. Press
Options, scroll to Accept, and press Select.
7 Enter the recipient’s e-mail address (or press Find and retrieve it from
your Phone book) and press OK. Your e-mail is sent.
