Security keyguard —Enter the security code, and select On to set the phone to ask
for the security code when you unlock the keyguard.
When the keyguard is on, calls still may be possible to the official emergency
number. See "Keypad lock (keyguard)," p. 13.
Cell info display > On —to receive information from the network depending on
the network cell used (network service)
Welcome note —Enter the note that you would like to be shown briefly when the
phone is switched on. To save the note, select Options > Save .
Operator selection > Automatic —The phone automatically selects one of the
cellular networks available in your area. With Manual , you can select a network
that has a roaming agreement with your home network operator.
Confirm SIM actions —See "SIM services," p. 52.
Help text activation —to set the phone to show or not to show the help texts
Start-up tone —to set the phone to play or not to play a start-up tone when it is
switched on
Enhancements
The enhancement settings menu is shown only if the phone has been connected
to a compatible mobile enhancement, such as headphones.
Select Menu > Settings > Enhancement settings . You can select an enhancement
menu if the corresponding enhancement is or has been connected to the phone.
Depending on the enhancement, you may be able to select some of the following
options:
Default profile or Automatic answer .
Configuration
Some of the network services require correct configuration settings on your phone.
Get the settings from a service provider as a configuration message, or enter your
personal settings manually. Configuration settings from up to 10 different service
providers can be stored in the phone and can be managed within this menu.
To save the configuration settings received by a configuration message sent by a
service provider, see "Configuration settings service," p. 8.
The settings can be viewed and partly edited also in the different applications.
Select Menu > Settings > Configuration settings and from the following options:
Default config. —to view the list of service providers stored on the phone (the
default service provider is highlighted) and to select another service provider as
default. Scroll to a provider, and select
Details to view the list with supported
applications. To delete a service provider from the list, select Options > Delete .
