CONNECTING YOUR TV
Connecting a home network
The LAN port allows your Toshiba TV to connect to
your home network. You can use this revolutionary
home entertainment networking system to access
photo, video and audio files that are stored on a
DLNA server and play/display them on your TV.

Installing the ULCS application
In order for your TV to play files stored on a PC, if you do not
have the DLNA server you can do with your PC which is
installed ULCS application (supplied). ULCS is software that
allows files to be shared between playback equipment and a
home network, or between two or more PCs.
Install the ULCS software Limited Edition (supplied). To
operate the PC as a DLNA server, follow the instructions in the
installation manual on the CD-ROM.
The software on the supplied CD is a Limited Edition without

NOTE:
• The TV’s home network feature is compatible with
Microsoft
®
Windows
®
XP/Vista.
• The TV’s home network connection allows access to file
sharing only. You will NOT be able to use the TV to access
the Internet.
• If you use a hub or switch to connect the TV to your home
network, you may not be able to use the automatic setup
and have to manually set up the network address. See
page 53.
• If you use a router with built-in DHCP functionality, use the
automatic setup. Manual setup may not work.
• If you connect the TV and PC directly, use Ethernet
crossover cable.
