ATTENTION:

When you turn the steering column you hav e to turn the w heels as

well: the Right to the Left, the Left to the Right. Picture 9 shows the
correct position (see groove)

12 MACHINE STARTING

BEFORE USING THE MACHINE MAKE SURE YOU LEARNT HOW TO STOP

IT; IN CASE OF BREAKDOWN OR NECESSITY TAKE IMMEDIATELY THE
LEFT HAND AWAY FROM THE HANDLE (ENGINE STOP).

Befor e starti ng the machine always control :

! the oil levels in the engine with the proper oil dips tick and in the gear box by means of the s uitable screw ( make this onl y when the

mac hine is new and every 50 hours );

! that in the air-filter (if in oil bath) oil reac hes the reference notch;
! that tyres have the right press ure ( Atm. 1,3) and are c orrectly oriented (see Picture 9 );
! that all screws and nuts are well fas tened;
! that all levers are in neutral position;
! that the clutc h lever has some freeplay;
! that there is fuel in the tank, the refuelling must be done with a funnel c omplete of filter i n order to avoi d the introduction of impurity;
! Before starting the m achin e m ake sure there are not walls or obstacles behind you .


To start the machine pro ceed in the follo wing way:

1) Engage the clutch, (Ref . “A” Picture 5), lower the ENGINE STO P lever, (Ref. “B” Picture 5) and loc k both with the rect angular pus hbutt on

inside t he l eft handle, (Ref. “A” Picture 6) (ENGINE STOP devic e).

2) Close the air to t he carburett or (starter), open t he fuel coc k, positi on the acc elerat or hand lever, (Ref . “C” Picture 5), at ½ gas and pull

vigorousl y t he rope of the ignition, (Ref.”15” pict ure 1). When the engine is running release the st arter.

3) Warm up the engine f or some minut es befor e starti ng to wor k.

When the engine i s new, m ake som e running in p eriod.

13 – START OF THE WORK

Accurat ely inspect the wor k area, removing f oreign objects ( iron wires, stones, stic ks, glasses etc.), sinc e t hey c oul d cause dangerous and

sudden r eactions of t he machine.

Engage the clutch, the ENGINE ST OP pushbutt on will release its elf, t hen put into gear and power t ake-of f, giving little clutc h-touc hes if it

does not i mmediatel y engage.

Accelerat e opportunel y t he engine and rel ease the clutc h t o st art wor king.

ATTENTION If the power take-off is engaged, you cannot engage the rev erse gear. In this case disengage the power
take-off and then engage the rev erse gear. It is impossible to insert the milling cutter when the reverse gear is engaged.

14 – END OF THE WORK

Once you have ended your wor k, to st op the engine cl ose the f uel c oc k and push the STOP ENGINE butt on or release the ENGINE STOP

lever. (Ref. ”B” Picture 5).

15 USE OF THE MACHINE – MILLING UNIT REVERSIBILITY
