3. Re-input the password.
Press ENTER to launch the software
keyboard, use /b/c/d to select a four
digit number, and press ENTER to input the
selection. Select [OK] and press ENTER to
confirm the password.

To change the password, input the
previously registered password, then
input the new password.
Note

We recommend making a note of the password.
y
If you have forgotten the password, reset the
unit to the factory default setting, then register
the password again (page 53).

This unit might ask you to enter a password
when you change the password.
y
If you reset this unit, your password is
simultaneously changed to the default setting.
Returning the resolution setting to
the default setting
If you select a resolution that is not supported
by your TV, videos may become unable to be
displayed on the TV.
Return the resolution setting to the default
setting.
1. Press u STANDBY/ON on the unit to
turn off the power of the unit.
Press u STANDBY/ON on the unit again to
turn the power on.
2. Press PORTABLE on the remote
control to switch the input of the unit to
portable.
3. Press and hold DISPLAY on the remote
control for at least 5 seconds.
The display window shows [RESOLUTI] .
4. Press ENTER while [RESOLUTI] is
displayed.
When initialization is completed, [OK] is
displayed.
5. Press u STANDBY/ON on the unit to
turn off the power of the unit.
Pairing a wireless subwoofer
with the unit (SBX-N700 only)
When sound is not output from the wireless
subwoofer, pair the wireless subwoofer with the
unit.
Furthermore, sound may no longer be output
after you update the software of the unit or
restore the settings of the unit to the default
settings. In that case as well, perform pairing.
1. Press u STANDBY/ON on the unit to
turn off the power of the unit.
Press u STANDBY/ON on the unit again to
turn the power on.
2. Press PORTABLE on the remote
control to switch the input of the unit to
portable.
3. Press and hold RESET on the subwoofer
for at least 3 seconds.
The STANDBY indicator on the wireless
subwoofer flashes red.
4. Press and hold d PLAY on the remote
control for at least 3 seconds.
[SW PAIR] is displayed on the unit’s display
window and pairing starts.
Once pairing is completed, [PASSED] is
displayed on the unit’s display window and
the CONNECT indicator on the wireless
subwoofer lights blue.
If pairing failed, [FAILED] is displayed on the
unit’s display window. Repeat steps 1-4.
Software updating
The unit’s software can be updated using one
of the methods shown below.
• Connecting to the Internet.
• Using a USB flash drive.
Product information on this unit is provided
on the Pioneer website. Check the website
shown on page 7 for update and service
information on your unit.
Caution
• Do not unplug the power cord or remove the USB
flash drive during software updating. Also, do not
reboot by pressing u STANDBY/ON for 5 seconds
or longer. Otherwise, the updating will be aborted
and malfunction may occur with the unit.
• There are two processes for software updating,
downloading and updating. Both processes may
take a certain period of time.
• Other operations are defeated during software
updating. Furthermore, updating process cannot
be canceled.
Updating connecting to the Internet
1. Connect to the Internet.
2. When playback is stopped, display the
Initial Setup screen.
