Formatting a recording media [Format]
Formatting a recording media erases all existing files saved on it. Be sure to transfer all
important files to a PC before formatting.

While the voice recorder is in stop
mode, press the MENU button.

Press
the
9 or 0 button to
select the [Device Menu] tab.

Press
the
2 or 3 button to select
[Format].

Press
the
`OK button.

Press
the
2 or 3 button to
select the recording media to be
formatted.

Press
the
`OK button.

Press
the
2 button to select
[Start].

Press
the
`OK button.

Press
the
2 button again to
select [Start].

Press
the
`OK button.
• [Formatting!] is displayed when
formatting starts.
• When [Format done] is displayed,
formatting is completed.
TIP
• Perform [Reset Settings] to return
various functions to the factory default
